New River Gorge bridge in West Virginia

Image
This Bridge is located in West Virginia, it is , 3,030 ft. long to get down to the viewing of the bridge there are about 10 or more flights of stairs you have to walk down.  You can fit about 2 1/2 statues of liberties under the bridge. The third Saturday of every October they close the bridge down for a festival. There is base jumping, music, and vendors. Here is a link to a video of the bridge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yK3BNHHH0t8 This is my daughter and I with the bridge behind us.

Meeting Paw Patrol

Image
My daughter really loves Paw Patrol, so I had taken her to see them. This was the line we had to wait in, it went from downstairs all the way upstairs, it was crazy. It probably took us a good hour- 2 hours to see them. We had finally made it up to see them, we got to meet chase and Marshall, Abby was a little unsure at first, but once we got up there she was fine, she gave them both a hug and a high five. This was really nice because it was free, plus lots of people shopping at the mall for the holidays.

Yogurt World and Hot dog world

For Thanksgiving my family and I had gone down to see my grandmother in North Carolina. Every once in a while we stop at yogurt world, which is kind of like the yum berry we have here in Slippery Rock, except this place has many more flavors and toppings. She had no idea we were even coming down, she was so happy to see us all. PLUS ALL YOGURT IS GLUTEN FREE!! This is a photo from Hot Dog world, which is right beside Yogurt World, they are owned by the same people. Every time we go down we eat here at least 2 or 3 times, they have hot dogs, burgers, salads, anything pretty much. It is such a good place to eat at and they are always so packed. The day after Thanksgiving we went down and the line was the whole way around the corner to the bathrooms, but it doesn't take long to get food. The owner is really nice and cares about his company and employees, you will always see him behind the counter working. So if your ever in Hendersonville North Carolina you definitely need to ch...

George Couros

George Couros Speaker at the Convention in Philadelphia! November 17, 2017 At the convention we all had to go to see George Couros speak and I first thought this is gonna be really boring just because some or most speakers are. Well I was wrong, I really enjoyed his speech and what he was saying this top picture shows a quote he had said to us, which was "Social media is like water. You can either let us drown, or teach, or teach us to swim." that was by a student. I thought that was a really good quote because you can learn from technology it doesn't all have to be bad. The second picture I have is of 3 things students should have before they leave high school. 1. A professional social network 2. A digital Portfolio 3. An about me page They are all really good to have because jobs, and schools will look at that and it can help you out in the long run. Overall I am really glad I got to hear him speak and hope to see him at another convention soon!!
